BARKING RIVERSIDE

DPH delivered the E&P installation package on the Barking Riverside Extension project. The scope comprised the installation, glanding, jointing and termination of LV supplies from DNO, SDC, MOS and PHCC cubicles, including the installation of approximately 2.2km of 240mm² 5-core SWA cable installed using RRVs. DPH also completed points heating installations with heater strips and clamp heaters, trackside connection boxes and points heating transformer installation and termination. In addition to this DPH carried out buffer stop lighting installations, FSP installation with glanding and termination of 650V supply cables, installation of over 5km of 19/4.22 RSC cable, more than 220 asset-to-RSC and spider plate bonds, and viaduct staircase lighting installation. All elements were fully tested and commissioned in accordance with network rail and TfL standards. Through meticulous possession planning, the deployment of an experienced and highly focused delivery team, and a proactive approach to undertaking unplanned works where required, DPH added tangible value to the wider programme while minimising disruption to live railway operations and supporting the successful delivery of this major TfL infrastructure extension.
