DPH delivered a combined programme of Railway Arch Refurbishment Works across two sites, Brayards Road and Arklow, bringing multiple arch units back into a safe, lettable condition through coordinated enabling works, electrical strip-out, and base-build re-instatement with tenant-ready provisions. The works were delivered as repeatable refurbishment packages, providing consistent electrical standards across the units while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and quality.

At Brayards Road, DPH completed the full enabling and strip-out scope to support the early refurbishment phase. This included the supply and installation of the agreed temporary power and lighting design, the installation and wiring of seven site transformers and stand lights, and the supply, installation and wiring of two temporary site distribution boards mounted on movable Unistrut. DPH also provided welfare socket supplies and staff welfare power and lighting, supported by site visits and coordination to confirm scope and sequencing. Following this, DPH carried out the strip-out of all electrical assets within 15 units back to the service head, providing isolation certificates for each unit on completion and issuing NICEIC certification for the temporary power installation to support assurance requirements.

At Arklow, DPH delivered the permanent refurbishment and fit-out scope across the arch units, providing a consistent base-build electrical specification ready for future tenant occupation. Works included new electrical supplies to each unit, complete with a local distribution board, twin 13A socket outlets, basic LED lighting installations and electrical metering. Lighting upgrades included permanent suspended strip lighting, track lighting systems and cabling, and the installation of specialist luminaires including Advanced Lighting Technologies ‘Nautilus Grey’ non-corrosive LED luminaires (Type A/AE) and ArchPro surface-mounted LED downlights (Type B/BE). DPH also installed emergency lighting provisions including surface-mounted LED emergency exit signage. In addition to the electrical package, Arklow included tenant fit-out works comprising the provision of a DDA-compliant WC to each unit, including sanitaryware, cubicles/partitioning, ventilation, lighting, disabled alarm systems and connection to foul water drainage. External works also included an allowance for LED lighting to each unit frontage, improving safety and accessibility.

Together, these two schemes demonstrate DPH’s capability to deliver compliant, repeatable railway arch refurbishments — from early-stage enabling and strip-out through to full electrical re-instatement and tenant-ready upgrades — supporting efficient handover and long-term asset usability across multiple units and locations.
