BRISTOL St PHILIPS MARSH – GWR Depot

DPH delivered a comprehensive electrical renewal package at Bristol St Philips Marsh Depot, upgrading critical infrastructure across the Coalfield Sidings and the HST shed to support safe, reliable depot operations. The works included the installation of new containment systems, renewal of pit lighting and pit small power, and the installation of new external lighting columns serving the Coalfield Sidings, significantly improving visibility and maintainability within operational areas. DPH also delivered new electrical supplies and distribution to support upgraded and new assets, alongside the installation of a new fire alarm and detection system within the HST shed. The project was completed with full testing and commissioning of all systems, ensuring the installation was compliant, to Network Rail standards and ready to bring into service. All activities were carefully planned and executed within a live depot environment, requiring close coordination, strict safety controls and clear sequencing to minimise disruption.
