DPH has delivered an annual points heating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and fault rectification programme for Pod-Trak, supporting Hitachi Rail across multiple Hitachi depot locations across the UK over the past two years. The works form part of an ongoing winter resilience strategy, ensuring critical points heating assets remain reliable and ready to perform throughout the points heating season.

DPH has undertaken structured PPM inspections and surveys delivered in planned four-month blocks, reviewing the condition and performance of the installed points heating systems and recording defects, compliance issues and emerging faults. Following completion of the survey phase, DPH have then carried out the associated remedial works and fault rectifications, providing the required staff, labour, plant and materials to address issues identified during inspections and restore full system performance.


By delivering inspection and repair as a coordinated seasonal programme, DPH supports Pod-Trak and Hitachi Rail in maintaining safe, dependable points heating infrastructure across operational depot environments, reducing risk during winter operations and improving long-term asset resilience.
