DPH delivered an electrical installation package at Substation K, working for Dornan Engineering over a four-month programme. The works formed part of the wider substation fit-out and energisation readiness activities, requiring a coordinated approach to containment, power distribution, earthing and bonding, and final testing and handover.
The scope included the installation of feeds to distribution boards, provision of earth bars, and the installation of comprehensive earthing and bonding cabling and electrical bonds. DPH also delivered containment systems across the substation to support LV and control services routing, alongside small power provisions and dedicated power supplies for access control equipment. DPH completed the installation of external lighting, supporting safe access and operations around the substation environment, as well as supplementary fire alarm tray and conduit drops and a temporary supply for the substation DB to enable site activities and phased commissioning.
The package was completed with full inspection, testing, commissioning support and handover, ensuring that installed systems were verified, compliant and ready for integration into the wider electrical network and operational requirements.
