DPH Management Services delivered a comprehensive points heating delivery package working directly for London Underground, providing end-to-end responsibility from early design through to commissioning and handover. The scope of works included detailed site surveys, the production of conceptual and outline design statements, development of construction drawings, and the installation of concrete bases to support new trackside infrastructure. DPH also installed points heating equipment, including transformer kiosks and DNO kiosks, installed heating elements and trackside cabling from kiosks to TJBs, and completed all associated testing and commissioning activities. The project concluded with the delivery of full handover documentation, including O&M manuals and assurance records, ensuring assets were ready for safe integration into the operational railway.
A key value-added element of the project was DPH’s ability to draw on extensive in-house knowledge and experience of points heating systems to manufacture critical elements of the installed equipment. This approach improved quality control, reduced lead times and ensured the installed systems were fully aligned with operational and maintenance requirements. Delivered within a live London Underground environment, the works were completed safely, to a high standard of quality and in full compliance with London Underground standards, demonstrating DPH’s capability to deliver specialist, safety-critical rail infrastructure with confidence and control.
